Tataiso Mafora-Malakalaka chats about her journey as a leader who happens to be a young woman in the The Seventh-day Adventist Church. Tataiso opens up about how growing up in an environment whereby she was encouraged to speak her mind and interpret the bible in her own words by her grandfather made her believe that anything is possible.
Malakalaka also talks about some of the issues that young believers are facing in this day and age. Speaking on the ongoing debate about whether Chirstians should drink alcohol or not, Tataiso said
“I believe as a baptised member if you have done an oath and vowed to do something then don’t expect to not be held responsible by the church when they see you leading a life opposite to what you vowed to do on baptism day. And personally I’ve seen family structures shattered due to alcohol abuse and addiction so I personally wouldn’t desire such a life style for our young people and highly advice against it however it doesn’t mean that God will disown you or not let you enter into heaven. Striving for a healthy lifestyle as the church teaches is definitely what I espouse and practice in my personal life”.
