Nathi Mankayi is back after a two year long hiatus from the music industry with a hit single titled iThemba. The composition was inspired by a biblical scripture from 2 Chronicles 7:14 which states,
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”.

After the tragic loss of both his parents, this is a reflection of how Nathi chooses to move forward from his loss. This song and the music from his upcoming album is a representation of how he has been coping.
“This song is a reminder to everyone to keep their faith and that with every trial and tribulation, we should never lose faith”
says Nathi.

The single was composed and written by Nathi Mankayi – a comfort song during a difficult time as the country recovers from a pandemic and riots.
This single is a follow-up to his 2019 album “Iphupha Labantu” which was released under the oldest record label in South Africa, Gallo Record Company. Nathi is back in studio recording his fourth studio album which is due for release in the first half of 2022. This new offering will have a lot of surprises to be expected in the sound and depth of his new approach to music.
