Renowned talented South African singer and songwriter, Philisiwe Ntintili was born and raised in Port Shepstone, Gamalakhe location.
She holds an Arts and Culture Certificate and an Honors Degree in Performing Arts specializing in Directing which she completed at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria.
She worked as a Music teacher at Ekhaya Multi–Art Centre in 2018 and as a Choreographer at the University of Kwa-Zulu Edgewood Campus in 2019.
She has also produced and directed a documentary titled “Taxis Made Us” and has had many of her songs featured as soundtracks on local popular soapies like Diep City and The Black Door.
She’s toured and traveled worldwide through the arts. In 2023 she was granted an opportunity of working alongside Mr. Aubrey Sekhabi an Artistic Director of South African State Theatre as an Assistant Director on Sophiatown.
She has since released songs like “Ndimfumene”, “Kukude”, a catchy viral tune “Ngibongiseni” and she’s recently released her much anticipated and well-received EP “Umvuzo” produced by award-winning record producer MBzet Da Producer.
With much work and consistency, she’s come back with her latest offering “S’thandwasam”, a sultry, expressive song that showcases her talent and range, produced by multitalented producer NovexBeats.
“S’thandwasam” is about a young woman who has been in a relationship with her partner for years. She is now worried that her biological clock is ticking and her partner is not marrying her as he promised to.
She is now reassuring him that she loves no other than him. But if he wants this relationship to work, he must do the right thing because time waits for man.
