The son of gospel sensation Sfiso Ncwane drops music

The son of gospel sensation Sfiso Ncwane and businesswoman Ayanda Ncwane has embarked on an exciting new chapter in his life and is venturing into music under his new name, Mak Ncwane, by releasing an EP titled Mak, Myself & I under Ncwane Communication.

Mak is short for Makadunyiswe; he is named after his father’s very first album, Makadunyiswe.

Mak’s DNA is music, as he was exposed to music at an early age, as his parents own one of the most successful record labels in Africa, Ncwane Communications. Remarkably, his parents confirmed a story that, before he could speak, he started singing before his speech as a baby.

Mak spent his childhood watching his father record music and perform, and that’s when he knew that this was what his future would look like. His love for deep house music sparked his interest in the genre of his choice and mostly influenced him lyrically. Hence, his songs have moving messages.

Mak had a childhood that was composed of school and music daily. That propelled him to choose to be a multi-genre artist, and the emergence of Mak Ncwane as a non-Gospel artist has stirred the excitement of music enthusiasts and social spectators alike.

He’s released his first project, a 3-in-1 offering, as a non-gospel artist, representing both a personal and musical evolution. The project consists of three EPs with the track ‘God’s Cheese’ as the lead single, a song Mak holds close to his heart.
