Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the legendary South African vocal group, is set to embark on an extensive US tour in celebration of their remarkable 65-year journey in the music industry.

The tour, which runs from February 10 to April 9, will see the Grammy-winning ensemble perform in over 30 cities across the United States and Canada, including major stops in New York, California, and Washington.

The tour marks a significant milestone for the iconic group, whose unique fusion of traditional Zulu harmonies with modern influences has captivated global audiences for decades.

Their performances will feature a mix of timeless classics and fresh material from their latest releases, continuing the legacy of founder Dr. Joseph Shabalala.

Reflecting on the group’s journey, Sibongiseni Shabalala, son of the late founder, expressed deep gratitude for the ongoing support:

“It’s such an amazing experience to walk in the footsteps of our father, the founder of the group Dr. Joseph Shabalala, and all others who established the group. I have realized that I have also been with the group for over 30 years now.

This means the legacy of the group continues to grow from glory to glory. In a few years, we will be celebrating 70 years, which is an incredible milestone in the history of music globally. We thank South Africans, the entire continent, and the world for supporting us throughout this journey.”

Following their US tour, Ladysmith Black Mambazo will return home in April to embark on a South African national tour in May, with scheduled performances in Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg.

The tour will continue throughout the year, culminating in December.

Fans across Africa will also have the chance to witness the magic of Ladysmith Black Mambazo live, with upcoming shows planned in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.
