Prophet David Uche Sparks Debate with Controversial Sermon on Abortion

by admin

“Thou Shalt Not Commit Abortion” Is Not in the Bible, Says Prophet
In a recent sermon that has gone viral on social media, Prophet David Uche, founder of The Righteous and Faithful City church in Johannesburg CBD, challenged traditional interpretations of biblical commandments. He argued that the Bible does not explicitly forbid abortion, asserting:

“In your Bible there, there’s no place where it’s written that shall not commit abortion… those days they don’t know what is abortion.”

Referencing the Virgin Mary, Uche claimed that had it not been for the angel appearing to Joseph, even Mary may have considered abortion due to societal pressures at the time.

“If everybody is now fighting you that you have belly and nobody know the owner… she will be thinking abortion before the angel appear to Joseph,” he said.

Modern Sin vs Ancient Texts
The sermon continued with provocative questions around modern behavior and its biblical roots. Uche emphasized that practices like smoking or drug use aren’t directly mentioned in the Bible because such substances didn’t exist at the time of Moses.

“If you ask Moses what is cigar, he’ll say what are you talking about?”

He claimed the Bible’s commandments were meant to evolve through divine communication with future generations.

“You can’t limit God to only what is written. He’s wiser than you.”

On Transgender Issues and ‘Convertible’ People
Uche also delved into the topic of gender identity, stating that while gay and lesbian behavior existed in Sodom, transgender identity is a modern phenomenon that challenges traditional norms.

“Now there are many sex types in US to dishonor their bodies… May you not marry convertible,” he warned his congregation.
